Prince - 3121

The new Prince album for ya. This one is good folks, I suggest the d/l. Here is a snippet from the AMG review.

"3121 is tight and concise, offering 12 songs in 53 minutes, and it's classically structured, emphasizing shifting moods and textures between songs. It is an album, not a collection of songs, and you could even call it old-fashioned, but it feels fresher than Musicology, as if Prince had listened to enough Neptunes productions to understand how they've absorbed his music. That acknowledgement doesn't come often — it's evident in the sly, sexy grooves of "Black Sweat" and the squealing synths of "Lolita" — but since it's paired with an emphasis on dance tunes and a retreat from the enjoyable but endless NPG-styled vamping that characterized a good portion of Musicology, 3121 winds up sounding lively, varied, and, at its best, exciting."

From First To Last - Heroine(2006)

Here is another new release for you people. Here is a little of what AMG had to say about this new album. Hope you enjoy it!

"In the two years since their debut full-length, a noticeable maturation has overtaken From First to Last, as Heroine not only reveals distinctly stronger and more confident vocals, but also finds the band placing a greater emphasis on more intricate song arrangements. Gone is the immaturity apparent in some of their past work, both lyrically and sonically (this isn't meant as a slight against the band; after all, most of the guys were in their early twenties and vocalist Sonny Moore was still in his mid-teens for their previous album). Heroine, though, is a dark, somewhat unpredictable album that is reminiscent at times of both the Used and At the Drive-In, but still remains wholly From First to Last."

Joe Satriani - Super Colossal(2006)

Here's the new Joe Satriani album. This guy has always been one of my favorite guitarists. Here's a little of what AMG had to say about this new album.

"The sound of the title track is big and booming, but the tone and delivery are instantly recognizable. Satriani doesn't pull any new tricks out of his bag, but lets his fingers do the talking throughout most of the record. And, of course, it wouldn't be a Satriani record without a few midtempo numbers thrown in for good measure, and "It's So Good" certainly delivers a swaggering punch that is reminiscent of not only Flying in a Blue Dream but moments of protégé Steve Vai's epic album Passion and Warfare."
